The Flanders Recorder Duo aims to please the music connoisseur as well as the amateur musician, and to delight their ears with the sound of the recorder. The challenge for a recorder duo, a monochrome and intimate ensemble, is on! In the duo’s ‘Timeless’ programme Joris and Tom combine top works and evergreens that were or were originally not written for the recorder with unknown works from all eras and contemporary commissions.
Joris and Tom are bitten by the recorder bug! ‘Timeless’ is a programme of contrasts and complements, of timbres and colors, styles and movement. In its diversity, it is a fireworks of rhetoric. ‘Timeless’, a story to experience and listen to, with composers as ??, ??, Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, and newly composed pieces by Glen Shannon and Sören Sieg.
The Flanders Recorder Duo has been giving concerts since 2014, visiting England, Scotland, Belgium, Germany and the USA.
